i am a sixteen year old girl living in north london with a heart full of glitter. after experiencing sexual assault i witnessed first hand how our society is failing women. feminism wasn't ever really important to me until recently, so i started this blog so that girls can teach girls about the importance of feminism.
i'm queenie and i write about whatever melissa can't write.my column on here is called 'deep end' and i have a radio show of the same name which broadcasts sometimes from 7-8 on a thursday here. i get really excited about films and shiny clothes that i can't afford. i also have a shitty blog.
i'm avalon, i'm fifteen and my hobbies include smoking to sonic youth and staring into the middle space. my section is called 'teen queens' and will basically be an ongoing shrine to the women that have been most inspirational in my life. i realised that a lot of young girls don't have enough strong female role-models as the media does a bit of a shit job at showing women in a positive light, so my column is kind of an attempt to fix this.
